On of the first designs we''ve done for a venue which took place in Hisingen. For those not familiar with the topography of Gothenburg, this is the major island of the Gothenburg archipelago. The Republic of Hisingen is a bit like going South in London, or how Leith considers itself in relation to Edinburgh - an outrider of the more 'glitzy' centre and stripped of all its pretensions. In recent years the more marginal voices of Gothenburg's celebrated Hip Hip scene have hailed from here.
A very difficult gig to find out much about. There is a good chance that it took place in Vårvindens Fritidsgård, the local youth club of the area. Gothenburg main Beat band, Tages, would have been a considerable draw, as would have been Jackpots. Looks like one hell of a night and a fitting way to say goodbye to the 1960's.
