The Beatles : Göteborg, 1964
The Beatles performed at Lorensbergs Cirkus in Göteborg on 27 October 1963 — three shows in a single day at 3pm, 5pm and 7pm, the only venue on their Swedish tour where they played three concerts. The group travelled approximately 500km from Stockholm, with their equipment following in a separate vehicle.
The set drew from their debut LP, the new With the Beatles album, and hit singles including ‘She Loves You’ and ‘From Me to You.’ Lorensbergs Cirkus, originally opened in 1884, was demolished in 1969 — today it stands as a rather nameless and depressing car park.
