Commemorating The Clash's electrifying performance at Scandinavium in Gothenburg, this show marked a significant chapter in the band's European journey.
Part of the ‘16 Tons European Tour,’ it consisted of approximately 30 concerts across Europe, spanning from January to June 1980. Although some dates we’re cancelled after Topper broke his finger. As the set list demonstrates, this would have been a blistering show - combining their early Punk roots with their increasing musical experimentation, as can be heard on ‘London Calling’ and ‘Sandinista.’ Like all dates on the tour, it would have involved support by local artists, although artist details can’t be found. Gothenburg Punks, answers on a postcard please!
