1968 was a busy year for Dorsey — four singles on his US label Amy, including the funk classic ‘Four Corners’, plus ongoing work with New Orleans legend Allen Toussaint and dates with The Meters. The Göteborg gig seems a misnomer; it forms no part of any known European tour, with the only mention being an advert in the local press. Whether a one-off financed by local promoters who were fans, hoping more dates could follow once he was over, is speculation — but probably the most likely story behind it.
