Swedish reggae started when Peps Persson heard Bob Marley and was inspired to sing reggae in his own Skånska dialect — his Hög Standard is recognised as one of the first Swedish reggae albums. With artists such as Kapten Röd, Dub Incorporation and Passafire, the Lion of Judah continues to roar in Scandinavia

This Göteborg Reggae Lejon print combines the Three Crowns of the city's emblem with the Lion of Judah — a prominent symbol of the Rastafari movement representing Emperor Haile Selassie, strength, kingship, pride and African sovereignty. This print represents a visual clash of Gothenburg's many voices.
