Herbie Hancock : Gothenburg, 1979 — Limited Edition Print
On stage in 1979, Herbie found himself in a unique place. He had crossed over to a larger disco audience through Sunlight (1978) and Feet Don't Fail Me Now (1979), scored hit singles with 'You Bet Your Love' and 'I Thought it Was You', and was also rightly considered — alongside Donald Byrd — one of the originators of jazz funk. Seeing Hancock on stage in 1979 was to hear a musician unbound by labels and genres, exploring the possibilities of music in all its contexts.
