Doing Their Own Thing (Vinyl LP)

Highly regarded by the younger generation of funk fans, Maceo has been touring to critical acclaim and great success in recent years.

An integral part of James Brown's backing band since 1964, saxophonist Maceo Parker, together with his drummer brother Melvin and other band members, eventually split from the Godfather of Soul in 1970 to forge their own horn-driven funk outfit. They quit to "Do Their Own Thing" - hence the album title.

Our Grading Standards
We grade all vinyl using the Goldmine standard:
Mint (M): Perfect, unplayed condition.
Near Mint (NM): Nearly perfect with minimal signs of handling.
Very Good Plus (VG+): Shows light signs of play but plays with minimal surface noise. The most common grade for collectable vinyl.
Very Good (VG): Noticeable marks and some surface noise, but still an enjoyable listen.
Good (G): Heavy wear — for collectors only.

All records are graded visually and by play. Media and sleeve are graded separately.
