Who Is William Onyeabor? (Vinyl 3xLP)

The early 21st Century, a shadowy figure rose from the dust that settled atop forgotten record collections throughout Africa, leaving behind trails of clues, but Luaka Bop unmask a phantom: the great William Onyeabor. He studied cinematography in Russia for many years, returning to Nigeria in the mid-70s to start his own Wilfilms label and set up a music and film studio. He recorded a number of hit songs in Nigeria during the 70s, the biggest was 'Atomic Bomb'. 'Better Change Your Mind' is taken from the same album, and, as well as slating the power-crazed nations of the world, the second half settles into a unique slice of stripped down spacey, lofi funk which is unlike any other Nigerian music being made at the time. Triple Vinyl set with four extra tracks.

We grade all vinyl using the Goldmine standard:
Mint (M): Perfect, unplayed condition.
Near Mint (NM): Nearly perfect with minimal signs of handling.
Very Good Plus (VG+): Shows light signs of play but plays with minimal surface noise. The most common grade for collectable vinyl.
Very Good (VG): Noticeable marks and some surface noise, but still an enjoyable listen.
Good (G): Heavy wear — for collectors only.

All records are graded visually and by play. Media and sleeve are graded separately.
