The Big Black & The Blue (Vinyl LP)

Swedish sisters Johanna and Klara Soderberg found global fame via their YouTube cover of Fleet Foxes's 'Tiger Mountain Peasant Song', matching the Foxes's vocal prowess with stunning sibling harmonies. This debut album showcases their own songs, styled somewhere between Kentucky Folk and Everly Brothers pop, and borne along by acoustic guitar and autoharp.

The sound is mournful but the sisters' teen sensibilities are bright and defiant on standouts like 'Hard Believer'. Elsewhere, say on 'Winter is All Over You', they entwine backwoods imagery and romantic suffering as cannily as big American brothers like Midlake.

We grade all vinyl using the Goldmine standard:
Mint (M): Perfect, unplayed condition.
Near Mint (NM): Nearly perfect with minimal signs of handling.
Very Good Plus (VG+): Shows light signs of play but plays with minimal surface noise. The most common grade for collectable vinyl.
Very Good (VG): Noticeable marks and some surface noise, but still an enjoyable listen.
Good (G): Heavy wear — for collectors only.

All records are graded visually and by play. Media and sleeve are graded separately.
