With producer stephen street, the smiths created a subtly shaded and skilled album, one boasting a fuller production than before. morrissey and marr laboured hard over the songs, working to expand the band's sound within their boundaries. in doing so they created the classic tracks 'i started something i couldn't finish,' 'girlfriend in a coma,' 'stop me if you think you've heard this one before,' and 'i won't share you'. this, the highest charting of all their albums, easily offers a summery of the band's considerable strengths.

Our Grading Standards
We grade all vinyl using the Goldmine standard:
Mint (M): Perfect, unplayed condition.
Near Mint (NM): Nearly perfect with minimal signs of handling.
Very Good Plus (VG+): Shows light signs of play but plays with minimal surface noise. The most common grade for collectable vinyl.
Very Good (VG): Noticeable marks and some surface noise, but still an enjoyable listen.
Good (G): Heavy wear — for collectors only.

All records are graded visually and by play. Media and sleeve are graded separately.
