Salsoul is the 9th studio album by trailblazing Filipino-African American singer Joe Bataan, featuring his classic single Mujer Mia. Re-issued for the first time since 1973 on limited edition blue translucent vinyl, Salsoul was born out of Bataans love for salsa and soul, which developed during his youth in New Yorks Spanish Harlem.
Such was the impact of Bataans new sound, that Salsoul served as the catalyst for the creation of a label by the same name. Formed by brothers Joseph, Kenneth and Stanley Cayre, Salsoul Records spearheaded a new generation of charismatic artists that, influenced by soul, funk and Latin dance rhythms, gave the label a signature sound.

Our Grading Standards
We grade all vinyl using the Goldmine standard:
Mint (M): Perfect, unplayed condition.
Near Mint (NM): Nearly perfect with minimal signs of handling.
Very Good Plus (VG+): Shows light signs of play but plays with minimal surface noise. The most common grade for collectable vinyl.
Very Good (VG): Noticeable marks and some surface noise, but still an enjoyable listen.
Good (G): Heavy wear — for collectors only.
All records are graded visually and by play. Media and sleeve are graded separately.
