As part of their inaugural European Tour, this show marked the band's first appearance in Sweden, introducing their raw energy and blues-infused rock to a new audience.
The 1965 European Tour was The Rolling Stones' first extensive tour across the continent, spanning from March 26 to April 2, 1965. The tour included stops in Denmark and Sweden, culminating in two shows in Gothenburg. This period was significant for the band, as they were transitioning from their early R&B roots to a more rock-oriented sound, setting the stage for their future success.
Gothenburg setlist highlights included "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love, “Tell Me, “Around and Around", "Time Is on My Side", "It's All Over Now," "Little Red Rooster," "Route 66” and "The Last Time"
