Mustang! (Vinyl LP)

Featuring performances by Byrd with Sonny Red, Hank Mobley, McCoy Tyner, Walter Booker, and Freddie Waits this was recorded in 1966 and released on the Blue Note label in 1967.

On the cusp of soul jazz, and featuring two Boogaloos ("Mustang" and "Dixie Lee") this is a classic representation of Byrd's 60's work and his forward looking approach to where Jazz could go. 'Fly Little Bird,' is quite rightly considered one of Byrd's most enduring compositions.

Our Grading Standards
We grade all vinyl using the Goldmine standard:
Mint (M): Perfect, unplayed condition.
Near Mint (NM): Nearly perfect with minimal signs of handling.
Very Good Plus (VG+): Shows light signs of play but plays with minimal surface noise. The most common grade for collectable vinyl.
Very Good (VG): Noticeable marks and some surface noise, but still an enjoyable listen.
Good (G): Heavy wear — for collectors only.

All records are graded visually and by play. Media and sleeve are graded separately.
