Kinks something else (Vinyl LP)

After a couple of failed singles in the uk, the kinks unleashed their trademark sound on the classic 'you really got me' and helped launch thousands of garage bands across the country in the mid-sixties. with the success of 'you really got me,' the kinks were rushed into the studio to record this, their first full length album from 1964. as such, fewer than half of the songs are ray davies originals.

But among those is the classic 'stop your sobbing'. the covers are typical of other r&b-influenced groups of the period like the rolling stones. the kinks work through respectable versions of chuck berry's 'too much monkey business' and 'beautiful delilah', as well as bluesman slim harpo's 'got love if you want it'.

Our Grading Standards
We grade all vinyl using the Goldmine standard:
Mint (M): Perfect, unplayed condition.
Near Mint (NM): Nearly perfect with minimal signs of handling.
Very Good Plus (VG+): Shows light signs of play but plays with minimal surface noise. The most common grade for collectable vinyl.
Very Good (VG): Noticeable marks and some surface noise, but still an enjoyable listen.
Good (G): Heavy wear — for collectors only.

All records are graded visually and by play. Media and sleeve are graded separately.
