It Could Happen To You - Chet Baker Sings (Vinyl LP)

This lp showcases Chet Baker's vocal abilities at their peak and on top of that his trumpet solos are also exquisite. Kenny Drew's piano work is a textbook example of how to support a vocalist, adding instrumental spice without obstructing the singer, on par with Teddy Wilson's work with Billie Holiday. Sam Jones and Philly Joe Jones function similarly, swinging solidly in support without disturbing the mood of each tune - they are replaced by George Morrow and Dannie Richmond on a few tracks without incident. The marriage of great performance with a selection of great jazz standards guarantees a tasty listening experience, seasoned with a touch of Chet's bittersweet wistfulness.

We grade all vinyl using the Goldmine standard:
Mint (M): Perfect, unplayed condition.
Near Mint (NM): Nearly perfect with minimal signs of handling.
Very Good Plus (VG+): Shows light signs of play but plays with minimal surface noise. The most common grade for collectable vinyl.
Very Good (VG): Noticeable marks and some surface noise, but still an enjoyable listen.
Good (G): Heavy wear — for collectors only.

All records are graded visually and by play. Media and sleeve are graded separately.
