Gran Turismo is the fourth album by The Cardigans. It features a darker and more moody type of music, mixing with more electronic sounds. Paralyzed is about surrendering to love, giving up self control. It invites you to forget about reality and escape into the music.
Erase/Rewind reflects on this idea of starting over - whether musically or romantically - with the metaphor of an old cassette tape. Explode is a dreamy ballad in which Nina Persson's silk voice and the warm electronic sound provide comfort for a confused person. Hanging Around expresses indecision, the lack of initiative, just waiting around until something happens.
