The storied double-bassist in 1974, around the same time as his contributions to Ramsey Lewis' LPs Solar Wind and Sun Goddess. Funkier, more r&b-inspired and less posturing than most Black Jazz releases, it kicks off with a Shaft rip-off, takes in some ace, refined P-Funk (Moe, Let's Have A Party), and closes triumphantly with the fat modal bass and riffing brass of Hamburg 302.
