Blackboard Jungle Dub (Vinyl LP)

One of the contenders for the much disputed title of being the first ever dub LP. Whether it was the first or not it's certainly the most experimental and as a result represents a crucial landmark in the development of dub as an art form.

It combines Perry's restless rule breaking creativity and killer rhythms with Tubby's mixing desk expertise and the results are off the scale amazing.

The inclusion of the sound effects and snippets of spoken word predate the use of sampling by decades and, frankly, the whole record still stands in a league of it's own as a vital cultural and musical artefact from two of the most important figures not only in the development of dub but modern music in general.

Our Grading Standards
We grade all vinyl using the Goldmine standard:
Mint (M): Perfect, unplayed condition.
Near Mint (NM): Nearly perfect with minimal signs of handling.
Very Good Plus (VG+): Shows light signs of play but plays with minimal surface noise. The most common grade for collectable vinyl.
Very Good (VG): Noticeable marks and some surface noise, but still an enjoyable listen.
Good (G): Heavy wear — for collectors only.

All records are graded visually and by play. Media and sleeve are graded separately.
