The Cue Club, Klubb Karl, Globe Club and Yaki-Da became focal points, nurturing homegrown talent such as Tages, Doris med Plums and the Spotnicks, while hosting the best of British beat — The Animals, Small Faces, Cream, Jimi Hendrix and Spencer Davis Group among them.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFrom Beat beginnings these clubs also became important in the development of Prog — music more focused on cultural, social and political questions directly engaged with Sweden.
